ArticleMost people decide in seconds whether to open a listing. A clear, honest listing gets more replies from serious people and fewer from people who will never rent.
Write a title that says something
Mention the type, the size and the best feature, for example "Sunny 2BHK near the market, family preferred". Avoid all capitals and vague words.
Fill in the details people ask about
Rent, deposit, furnishing, floor, area in square feet, parking, pets, who you prefer as tenants, and when it is available. Details you leave out become questions, and every question is a reason for someone to move on.
Take good photos
- Use daylight and open the curtains.
- Show every room, the kitchen, the bathroom and the entrance.
- Keep the camera level and clear clutter first.
Listings with photos get far more replies than listings without them, and on RentEase a listing needs at least one photo before it can go live.
Be honest about drawbacks
If the place is on a busy road or has no lift, say so kindly. People who still want it are the right tenants.
Price it fairly
Check similar places in the same area before you set the rent. A fair price brings quick, good tenants.
