Rent disagreements start with a missing record
Most small landlords keep rent in a notebook, a spreadsheet or a chat. Tenants keep screenshots. When someone says “I paid on the 5th”, there is nothing both people accept. RentEase is one register that both of you read.

Moving out
Settle the deposit without an argument
When a tenant leaves, RentEase works out the refund: the deposit, less unpaid rent, less any deductions with reasons. Both people see the same statement.
We do not move the money. You return the deposit yourself, with the numbers already agreed.

How we protect both sides

Nobody edits the past
Entries are never changed or deleted behind anyone’s back. A mistake is reversed with a reason both people can read.

Both sides confirm
A payment the landlord records, the tenant agrees with or reports. A payment the tenant says they made, the landlord confirms or declines.

Only the two of you can open it
A tenancy opens only for its landlord and for the tenant whose verified number it belongs to.

Questions
What people ask before they start
Is RentEase really free?
Yes. It is free for landlords and tenants while we are in early access. There is no card to enter and no percentage taken from rent. If we ever add paid plans, we will tell you inside the app first, and tenants will not be charged to see their own records.
Do you hold or move my rent?
No. Tenants pay landlords directly, by UPI, cash or bank transfer. RentEase only keeps the record. When a tenant taps pay, their own UPI app opens with the landlord’s UPI ID and the amount filled in.
Can my landlord (or tenant) change the record without telling me?
No. Charges and payments cannot be edited or deleted quietly. A mistake is corrected by a reversal that shows a reason, and both people see it in the same activity list. When a landlord records a payment the tenant can agree or report a problem, and when a tenant says they paid, the landlord confirms or declines.
Does my tenant need to install an app?
No. They log in from any phone browser with a code sent to their number. They can add RentEase to their home screen if they like.
What do I need to start?
A mobile number. You add your property, your rooms or beds, and your tenants’ names, numbers and rent. It takes a few minutes.
